Children’s Choir  Grades K – 5, Sundays in the choir room from 4:00 – 5:00 PM. Children’s Choir to present “An Unplugged Christmas”

Lindsey and her friends are excited! Why? The local TV station is having a contest for “The Biggest, Brightest Christmas Show Ever” and they are entered to win! They've planned a great show to impress the secret judge – lots of lights, a rockin' carol medley, and even a Silent Night light show. However, all goes well until BAM, all the lights go off! It is in the quiet of a small shining star that they are reminded that Jesus is the true Light of Christmas!

All kids in Grades K – 5 are invited to join us in the choir room on Sundays from 4:00 – 5:00 PM.

Youth Choir (6th – 12th grades)  Sundays,  from 5 -6 p.m. in the choir room.  If you have any questions, please contact Debbie, Youth Choir Director at Cell 850-382-3322.

Acolyte Training to be held Sunday, Sept. 21! All students in Grades 3 – 12 are invited to be trained as acolytes.

An acolyte is defined as someone who helps the pastor in worship.  The word acolyte often is translated as “helper” or “assistant.”  At St. Luke, acolytes are called upon to light and extinguish the altar candles, collect the offering plates, and assist with communion.  More acolytes are needed for both our 8:00 & 11:00 AM traditional worship services.  Acolytes are asked to serve at least once a month, and parents are able to sign up for a day that fits your family’s schedule.  In addition, our acolytes are treated to fun outings during the year to encourage them in their commitment to serve as acolytes.

Please join Debbie for an acolyte training (for new acolytes only) on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 12:30 PM in the St. Luke sanctuary.  A mission lunch ($6.50 /person) will be held in the Fellowship Hall if you would like to eat before the training.  PLEASE contact Esther Felt at esther@stluke-umc.org or 477-3145 to let us know your child is coming.
