We at St. Luke have committed ourselves to reaching and nurturing all families for Jesus Christ. Weekly and seasonal programs are offered for children of all ages to help them learn of Jesus’ love and his plan for their lives. Adults are encouraged to become involved in our ministry through their commitment of time and prayers.
If you have any questions, please contact Esther Felt at firstname.lastname@example.org or 477-3145.

Our nursery offers a warm and secure setting for infants and toddlers. It is staffed by trained individuals and is provided for worship services, Sunday School, Wednesday Night Together, and most other church functions.
Nursery Volunteer Application
We have children’s classes for 3-year-olds through 5th grade. Sunday School meets on Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and is led by caring and committed teachers. There a PreK-K available at 9:30 a.m. in the Nursery. All age levels use Bible-based curriculum that is created to be Biblically sound, educationally effective, and engaging for every child.
What is SPLASH? It is our exciting Wednesday night program for children! For Grades K – 5, we begin our evening at 6:00 PM for POWER UP, which is opening worship and general silliness, much like our VBS opening. The Bible story is presented in a creative, engaging way. Then, around 6:30 PM, the children are dismissed for small group time where they do hands-on activities that reinforce the Bible lesson. For our preschoolers, they will have Cherub Choir at 6:00 PM, followed by their own small group time in the classroom.
SPLASH is offered at 6 PM in Room 22/24. Every week we begin with praise and worship and the Bible story presented in the Room 22/24. At 6:30 PM we dismiss to our small group time in the classrooms. The elementary students then receive a daily devotional guide each week for them to use at home. Our preschool children have their SPLASH class at 6:30 PM following Cherub Choir practice.
SPLASH is our exciting Wednesday night children’s ministry for age 3 – fifth grade, using the 252 Basics curriculum. For more information contact Esther Felt at email@example.com.
What do we need you to do? Well, we specifically need adults willing to participate/interact with the children during POWER UP, and then serve as small group leaders when the kids go to their classrooms. All of the activities will be prepared for you ahead of time. We would like to have two adults in every classroom.
It’s going to be a great year, but we can’t do it without more volunteers! For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org

All students in Grades 3 – 12 are invited to be trained as acolytes.
All students in Grades 3 – 12 are invited to be trained as acolytes.
An acolyte is defined as someone who helps the pastor in worship. The word acolyte often is translated as “helper” or “assistant.” At St. Luke, acolytes are called upon to light and extinguish the altar candles, collect the offering plates, and assist with communion. More acolytes are needed for both our 8:00 & 11:00 AM traditional worship services. Acolytes are asked to serve at least once a month, and parents are able to sign up for a day that fits your family’s schedule. In addition, our acolytes are treated to fun outings during the year to encourage them in their commitment to serve as acolytes.
The St. Luke kids will be attending a full week of camp this year!! BLAST is for completed grades 3-8. Early bird price if registered by April 15: $345, non-early bird: $365. Scholarships are available – please see Esther for scholarship information! Registration is open at www.bluelakecamp.com.
We celebrate the birth of Jesus by re-creating a Biblical Times marketplace open to the community. Your time, talents, gifts, and service are needed. NIB is a “hands-on” family event created for the community as an outreach of St. Luke UMC.
Loans of portable canopies to help create “tents” are needed.
Various decorations, such as baskets, throw rugs, furs, and vases, will help transform the church grounds into a Bethlehem market place as well.
Fresh rosemary is needed for our perfume shop.
Also, volunteers will be needed to operate the marketplace “shops” and work with families to enjoy and help create the crafts. We are encouraging all Sunday School classes and Sticky Groups to please consider sponsoring a “shop” and asking their group members to volunteer in that shop.
For more information or if you would like to volunteer your services, contact Sandra Jesse at email@example.com or 850-292-1539.
