St. Luke Outreach supports PUMCM with donations and volunteers.  Items needed are Umbrellas, bicycles, hygiene and personal care items, clothing and household items.  Donations can be left in room 8 and are delivered every Wednesday.  Help is needed in the kitchen and in the thrift store.  If you would like to volunteer, contact Bob & Peggy Woodard at 477-1475.

Celebrate Recovery

Attention Sticky Groups and Sunday School Classes, please prayerfully consider doing a meal for Celebrate Recovery.  You can prepare a meal and deliver it at 5:00 PM or prepare the meal, deliver it and serve the meal, whichever is your preference.  Rev. Dr. Jim White is still leading the Celebrate Recovery program every Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM at PUMCM.  His wife Carolyn, coordinates the meals they serve.  One church in the district does a meal every month, Carolyn needs help with the rest.  The group has grown to approximately 55.  Contact Bob & Peggy Woodard, 477-1475 for more information.

New men, women and children’s underwear and socks, also diapers are collected for Waterfront Rescue Mission and PUMCM, aka Joe’s Place.  Look for this event in August.

October is Blanket Ministry Month

Sometimes, we who are blessed forget some of the small things we enjoy that are missing from lives of other people. Take blankets, for example, most of us live in climate-controlled homes and don't see the value of blankets. There are many in our county who live on the street or in rooms with no heat who would say, "Blankets have great value." With this in mind, St. Luke is having a Blanket Collection Drive in October. There will be collection box in the church foyer and also in Room 8.  Distribution will be from PUMCM or we know it as Joe's Place. As a Christian community, we have an opportunity to touch some lives in an important way. Don't forget your blanket!!

Donate your new and GENTLY-used blankets, throws and shawls.

For more information contact Chuck & Joy Skelton at 850-542-7679.

Camp Happy Sands

In memory of Margie Bowne, the youth of St. Luke UMC will serve in the annual “Camp Happy Sands” mission, at Johnson Beach in Perdido Key, part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore. This camp engaged year, in 2014 over 200 school children (ages 6-11) in some of God’s most wonderful gifts: the beach and Christian fellowship. What a wonderful opportunity for children to explore the beauty of our environment and experience the world outside the decay of poverty. Our commitment includes providing the day’s lunch, drinks, water, and a snack for the following day.

You’re invited to come and be a part of supporting our communities’ children with your prayers, your time, your gifts, and your smiles! Make this summer one to remember in the eyes of these children.

Sign up with Beth Menah (478-4959).

A REAL home, a REAL family to glorify a REAL LIVING GOD!

As arrows are in the hand of mighty man; children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them. Psalms 127
